There are two places that I found to have very different and exotic birds and that's in Los Quetzales and also walking through Parque de Amistades way up in the Cerro Punta area. Many people around the world go up to these places to go bird watching.

In Cerro Punta there is a famous place where you can see exotic birds in the Parque de la Amistad (Park of Friendship)   Although the road is not good (you must take a 4x4 car), it is a beautiful trip to do.   You may see a variety of birds, monkeys, lots of vegetation and beautiful views.  The most famous bird you can see is called the quetzales.   There is also a hotel in Cerro Punta called Los Quetzales where they have tours to...
