Belize is very easy to get to because we have direct flights from Houston, Texas, Miami, Florida, Newark, and Los Angeles.

TACA Airlines has a daily flight to/from BZE and San Salvador, El Salvador which offers connections to the rest of Central and South America. There is also a daily connection between San Salvador and LAX.
Southwest Airlines recently announced it will begin direct flights to BZE from Houston Hobby in October 2015.
Tropic Air, the small Belizean airline, offers connections between BZE and Cancun and Merida, Mexico, Roatan and San Pedro Sula, Honduras, and Guatemala City, Guatemala.
It bears keeping in mind that Mexico City and Cancun, Mexico are large international hubs with direct flights to/from most of the US, Canada, Europe and South America.
Flights to Mexico, especially to Cancun, are often subsidized by the Mexican government to encourage tourism and can be much cheaper than a direct flight to Belize. Europeans and Canadians get the added benefit of not having to pass through the US and enduring the ever more tedious TSA.
Interjet, a popular Mexican carrier, has two daily flights between Mexico City and Chetumal, Mexico, right on the northern border with Belize.
The Cancun International Airport (CUN) is only 200 miles from the Belize border. In addition to the Tropic Air flight to BZE, there is excellent bus service between Cancun and Chetumal. The ADO bus line offers luxury, air-conditioned coaches for the 5-hour trip. There's even a red-eye special that goes all the way to Belize City.
