Are there English-speaking doctors in the Panama City, Panama area of San Francisco?

Most doctors in Panama (and of course, including in the San Francisco area of Panama City) have received medical training or have studied in the United States. They are generally fluent in English, which allows them not only to communicate with the growing number of patients who travel to Panama to receive top medical attention at affordable prices, but also to keep current with medical journals and reviews, usually published in English.

I have lately been in touch with a lot of doctors in the area of San Francisco, a district in Panama City, Panama, because the claims that our customers submit to insurance companies are mostly for the Punta Paitilla and Punta Pacifica hospitals, which are located in San Francisco. Both are great world-class hospitals. Most doctors in these hospitals do speak English. These two hospitals are the only two hospitals that our expat customers use.

Yes, there are English-speaking doctors in the San Francisco area of Panama City. I would go as far as to guess that 90% to 95% of the doctors in Panama City speak English.
This is not so much the case with their staff. I don’t think that there would be many English-speaking nurses in Panama. It depends on which clinic or hospital you’re going to because medical tourism is a growing field in Panama.

We have patients coming from North America to get all kinds of different procedures done in Panama because of the lower cost to get it done here. Panama also seems to leading the pack in terms of cancer research and alternative treatments for cancer. More experimental treatments are being done in Panama and we know that there are a lot of cancer patients from US who come to Panama because it’s starting to become known as a cancer treatment destination. And in these specialties the doctors would have fully bilingual English speaking staff.
