The village of El Valle de Anton is flat, this was the bottom of a lake at one time in the distant past.  Most streets are paved and normal cars can go almost everywhere.  If you want to go up into the hills around El Valle you will need at least a car with good ground clearance and a 4 wheel drive is recommended.  To get to the he back road to Penoneme  you will definitely need a 4 wheel drive vehicle at this time.  Once the road has been repaired and paved, a normal car will be able to make this journey which cuts some 25 minutes off of the long way around when going to Penoneme or points west.

 

4 wheel off road bikes can be rented in El Valle and many homeowners have 4 wheel bikes and even golf carts to get around town.   Bicycles are very popular since the main village is flat.  We also have horses for rent, if you are so inclined.
