Are there exotic birds in and around El Valle de Anton, Panama? Where can I go bird watching in and around El Valle de Anton, Panama?

The areas behind El Valle are great birding areas as is the areas within the valley itselt. I have often seen Toucans, Parrots. It all depends on what one would classify as exotic birds, many of the bird watching tours schedule El Valle as one of the areas that they would like to bird. My family at one time had property in El Valle and one of the highlights way back in the 40's was spending a morning just wandering around bird watching.

Many people come to El Valle de Anton for bird watching. In fact, when I was cycling this morning, I met a couple from Belgium with their binoculars, who came specifically here to El Valle for a few days just to see birds. There are bird tours here and I sometimes see around 15 to 20 people with a tour guide who takes them to places where the birds are. They hike to see birds; of course, there are mountains all around us so it is very beautiful to hike. ...

They hike to see birds; of course, there are mountains all around us so it is very beautiful to hike. There is a canopy lodge, which is specifically used as a meeting point for bird watchers. The tours pick up the bird watchers from Panama City and they take them to that canopy lodge. After the tour, they leave El Valle and you will see that they are pretty happy.
