If bussing it around the country of Nicaragua is your preferred choice of transportation, you can get almost anywhere from Granada. For about $1 you can get to Managua on the "express" bus or for a little less on the "chicken" bus. There are buses to almost all parts of the country or at least a bus that will get you to another bus which will get you there.

Remember, this is Nicaragua and there are not too many rules. Wait, let me rephrase, there are rules, just not a lot of enforcement. So, a 25 passenger bus may have as many as 50 people on it. You stand a lot and there is not any "personal space". It is first come, first serve and when that free seat opens, either dive for it or get out of the way!
Personally, I love taking the express bus to Managua, jump off at the mall, see a movie, have lunch, do a little shopping and head back to Granada, all for less than $10.

Well, going by bus in Granada, Nicaragua, and all over the country is a unique experience!!!
The bus service is very cheap to go to Managua, Nicaragua from Granada, Nicaragua-- only 24 Córdobas (almost a US dollar).
To get around town in Granada, if you don´t want to walk, the best option is to get a taxi for 45 or 60 cents.
Here I shared a picture of how it is to be on a bus in...
