What are the food recipes of Nicaragua?

Nicaraguan food has many recipes that use corn. Most of the recipes are from the time of the Indians who lived in our country. The recipes are easy to prepare and additional ingredients used are inexpensive. Even most typical drinks of Nicaragua are based on corn or cocoa.

Naca tamale is a national favorite, which is a weekend food. Sopa de queso (cheese soup) is another great dish in Nicaragua. Their cheese is different from what we experience in the US, but nevertheless, their cheese soup is delicious. Sopa de res, which is a beef soup, is also another delicious dish.
You will encounter different recipes in Nicaragua depending on the different classes of people. I noticed that if you are in the lower income group, your staple foods would be gallo pinto and the fruits, which you can get from the trees, such as mangoes, while, if you were middle class, could afford to eat more and what you eat would vary considerably more than if you were poor.
