What are the food recipes of Belize?

Belize has diverse ethnic groups and from that, many different types of food.  The main food dish of Belize however, would be rice and beans, chicken and potato salad.

Typically the rice is done with coconut milk, the rice and cooked stew beans are blended together, the spices are added and it is left to cook.  Then the chicken is marinated with recado and other spices and it is the lightly fried and then stewed in a pot.  Finally all the potato and other ground foods are boiled and blended, mixed with mayonnaise and Carnation milk. There are other foods that belong to other ethnic groups; however, the meal above is the main one, considered “Sunday Dinnah”.
