As in the rest of Panama, the rainy season in Volcan / Cerro Punta goes from April until mid December, with a peak in rain during September, October and November. It will rain mostly during the afternoon but there will be days every once in a while when the rain will last all day long. Being high above sea level, the climate in Volcan and Cerro Punta will be cool mostly all year long, but of course the rain will make the temperature drop a bit more (between 14 to 18 °C; 57 - 64 F)....

It rains a lot less during the dry season (mid December to March), however the temperature will be somewhat colder due to cold front wind from the North. With all this said, either rainy or sunny, I can truly say that I love the weather there because it is so much different than the rest of Panama, and in combination with the mountains, the rivers and the beautiful nature of the area, the Volcan and Cerro Punta area is one of the most amazing places in Panama, in my opinion.
