Is there good fishing in and around the Panama City, Panama area of San Francisco?

This is the kind of neighborhood that any foreigner would love to live in or visit. It has it all, from the most attractive community park (comparable to Central Park in New York, only in miniature, and without the horses and carriages), to the upmost wealthy mansions nearby in "Altos del Golf" (Golf Highs) named for when the park used to be a golf course. San Francisco has many and beautiful high buildings, restaurants, schools, community pools, gyms, several modern supermarkets and malls, churches and shopping centers, and warm people.
San Francisco used to be a quiet neighborhood, with single family houses. Today, has changed into one of the most modern neighborhoods in the city. It is very attractive to foreigners who have purchased many condos and enjoy a relaxed and quality life, at a lower cost of living for their daily routines, like purchasing numerous fresh fruits and vegetables, and walking in the park from 5 AM to 10 PM.
You can also find in the San Francisco area of the city of Panama the extraordinary "Torre de Panama la Vieja" (Old Panama Tower) a must see tourist site, where you can visit ruins and the complete visitors's center where you can get beautiful art and crafts from Panama.
Although San Francisco has beautiful ocean view, there is no fishing in the exact area. This sport is done in other neighborhoods like Fort Amador (the Causeway) or Gamboa, where you can get professional fishing tours, as well participate in other activities from other tour companies.
But, if you are talking about eating fish, very close by, at the beautiful "Cinta Costera" (a nice boulevard by the Panama Bay) you can find a public seafood market...which is also a picturesque place where every visitor and local goes to eat fish and seafood. They have great lobsters, shrimp and crabs, among many species. You will want to come back over and over again.

San Francisco, Panama is a neighborhood in Panama City. Fishing areas are offshore, near Panama City or further up the coast. One can charter a fishing boat in one of the marinas in Panama City and head out some 20 kilometers [12.4 miles] for good fishing. One should note that the coastal water near Panama City is polluted with sewage. The locals head to deeper waters north of the City (towards Pedasi) for healthy fish. The waters there...

There is no fishing in the Panama City area of San Francisco (which is an urban area), but if you live in San Francisco and want to go fishing you can either go to Lake Gatun, which is 45 minutes from San Francisco by car, or you can go to Taboga Island for sports fishing. Lake Gatun is definitely easier and less expensive, and you can rent all the equipment directly at the lake to catch some bass.

If you want to go sports fishing and catch some sea bass or mahi-mahis, you need to rent a boat and go to Taboga Island. You can research for boats via the Internet, and then you need to go to the Amador Causeway, which will take you about 30 minutes from Panama City by car, and then another 30 minutes to get to Taboga Island by boat.
