How are the restaurants in the Panama City, Panama area of San Francisco?

In San Francisco a district of Panama City, Panama, there are many restaurants with food from many different countries, from Chinese to Italian, Greek, etc. One that I recommend is the "El Segundo Muelle". This restaurant serves food from Ecuador, specializing in sea food dishes. Personally, I love the "Pulpo" or octopus. The service is great, but you had better arrive early or make a reservation or you will have to come back another day.

Panamá has always been an excellent choice for gourmet cuisine. For many years, restaurants in Panamá have offered many and varied types of restaurants, for all tastes.
It used to be that we just had the basic ones, like Italian, Chinese and of course, the local food. But through the years, as the country grew up and the population of Panamánians and foreigners increased, more and more restaurants have opened up....
Panamá has always been an excellent choice for gourmet cuisine. For many years, restaurants in Panamá have offered many and varied types of restaurants, for all tastes.
It used to be that we just had the basic ones, like Italian, Chinese and of course, the local food. But through the years, as the country grew up and the population of Panamánians and foreigners increased, more and more restaurants have opened up. The vision for these restaurants was incredible, and now, Panamá offers all types of food, even the more sophisticated and niche, like Middle Eastern food, food for special diets, vegetarian only, small, middle and large places.....
The majority of restaurants have home delivery, even fast foods.
One particular attraction to retirees, whether local or legal foreign residents, is the benefit of the 25% discount on everything they eat (fast food is 15%).
Another attraction is the hundreds of little cafes around the city, mainly in San Francisco. It is very common that friends get together "just for a coffee", but of course, the coffee has to be accompanied by an empanada or something else, with the friends spending hours talking and sharing memories.
We can easily say that San Francisco has so many restaurants to enjoy, that no visitor gets bored visiting a new one each day.
But I have to mention that Panamá has been, is, and always will be THE place for sea food, and Panamanians feel very proud of their shrimp, lobsters, their famous "corvina" and every single sea food. As a matter of fact, there is a specialized center to buy daily fresh fish and sea food in a public market, near the Presidential Palace, only minutes away from San Francisco.

The restaurants in the Panama City area of San Francisco are really good. In the surroundings of San Francisco there are different options. For example, one of my favorites is La Casa de San Francisco. They serve Peruvian food. Their specialties include delicious seafood. The place is nice and it is not that expensive.

There are many restaurants in San Francisco, Panama, some of which are in the hotels. There are several hotels that have very good restaurants near the Atlapa Convention Center in San Francisco. A regular meal could cost around US $10 to $15. Some are even more expensive depending on the kind of service they offer. For $10, you can have a salad, chicken or fish (although fish can be a little more expensive), and non-alcoholic drinks. Alcoholic drinks are expensive....

What I'm describing would be in a restaurant with somebody serving you.
You can go to fast-food restaurants and get a meal for as low as $5. We have McDonald’s, Taco Bell, KFC, and Pizza Hut. You can get a whole meal in McDonald’s, Taco Bell or KFC for $5 or $6. Pizza Hut does not have $5 meals. Their plates go from $10 and up, because other than pizza, they also sell other Italian food and they are not cheap for a fast food restaurant.
Street vendors are not common in San Francisco.

There is quite a variety of restaurants in the area of San Francisco, one of the good areas within Panama City, Panama. I like a restaurant near my house, which is called Maito. Maito is a fusion restaurant that serves different dishes and different cuisines, and they change the menu very often. Maito is a new upscale restaurant that will cost you US $25 to $30 per person to go there, which is quite expensive for restaurants in the Panama area of San Francisco. There is a mid-range restaurant that is very good called Jimmy's, where the food is around $15 to $20. It is also has a food mixture, like a local restaurant. They serve different kinds of dishes. They have seafood and they have salads. Jimmy’s is a type of Panamanian restaurant.
For lower price dining, there are all kinds of fast food restaurants. I can recall that a combo in McDonald's would be around $5 and no more than ten dollars. We have all the American brands here in San Francisco, such as McDonald’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Taco Bell.
