One of the absolute best things to do around the area of Pedasi, Azuero Peninsula, Panama is to be part of the annual Carnival. Carnival is held in Las Tablas, less than 30 miles from Pedasi.

2013 Carnival in the Los Santos Province is coming up! And by far the most famous in the world (only second to Rio de Janeiro) is the "Carnaval de Las Tablas".

One of the absolute best things to do around the area of Pedasi, Azuero Peninsula, Panama is to be part of the annual Carnival. Carnival is held in Las Tablas, less than 30 miles from Pedasi.
2013 Carnival in the Los Santos Province is coming up! And by far the most famous in the world (only second to Rio de Janeiro) is the "Carnaval de Las Tablas".
Beginning of February, to be exact, it starts on Friday evening the 8th with the crowning of the queen, and closes with Martes de Carnaval the 12th.

Then Ash Wednesday is the big 'let-down' and people pack up to drive back home, since the whole country comes together, so it seems, at Las Tablas main square.
Wonderful costumes, competition amongst the Carnival queens of the 'calle arriba' and the 'calle abajo' will make you speechless.
Great music, amazing fireworks, dances, lots of water! and just plain "Pura Vida".

If you like surfing, the best thing to do in Pedasi is to go to Playa Venao and surf. Within Pedasi, you can also go to the restaurants and eat out. Pedasi is a very laid back place, so it’s a place where you can go out, eat in a restaurant, have a good glass of wine, have a nice coffee in the morning, enjoy the view and the weather. In the rest of the country of Panama it usually rains for 6 months or even more, but in Pedasi, it rains only about 3 months out of the 6...If you like surfing, the best thing to do in Pedasi is to go to Playa Venao and surf.
