Are there rivers, lakes and waterfalls in or around the Pedasi, Azuero, Panama area?

The actual town of Pedasi is not right on the ocean. You can, however, drive just a few minutes to get to the ocean. There are not many rivers in the actual town of Pedasi, but right down the road you can find beautiful rivers and waterfalls.
On the edge of town of Pedasi, we have a river. 15 minutes down the road to the south towards Venao and Cana, there are lots and lots of rivers and waterfalls. The further away you go, the larger the rivers and...

Pedasi is full of beauty. Every few miles you cross a river.
The Venao surf spot has a great wave at the river mouth.
If you continue driving south and west, there are caves to explore, and other sectors that are ecological protected.
Explore and you shall find!
You can always ask the surfers.

The town of Pedasi is named after the Pedasi River, which is right next to town. About 30 minutes out of town by car, in an area called Canas, there is a river called Oria, which has really cool waterfalls and small lakes.

There is a nice waterfall in Macaracas which is more or less an hour away from Pedasi by car. This is up in the mountains so you have to go there by car and then hike to reach the waterfall.
There is another waterfall at the back of San Francisco Juan Diaz which is a little community about 20 minutes away from Pedasi by car. You also have to hike for about half an hour before you reach the waterfall.

There are no rivers or lakes where people can swim or go fishing here in Pedasi because this is the driest area in Panama, so the rivers are not big enough for any water activities and the water is not clear. The reason for this is because people have cut down a lot of trees over the years, so we don’t get much rain anymore and the place became drier.

If you are in Pedasi and you want to go to a river, you can go swimming in Rio Oria, which is about 25 minutes from downtown Pedasi. You can also go horseback riding over there as well and perhaps, hiking, too. You can go there through a tour company and it might cost you a bit.
I’m not sure of any lakes or waterfalls here in Pedasi. There might be some waterfalls on Cañas Island (about an hour away by car) during the rainy season, but it is...
