Is there good bus service in the Pedasi, Azuero, Panama area?

The main method of transportation in and out of Pedasi is the bus that will take you from there to Las Tablas (nearest bigger city). The trip takes 40 minutes and costs about $2.
Taxis are not seen in Pedasi on a regular basis like in a big metropolis, but with a bit of patience one will pass by one of the main streets of town. The cost of taxi within Pedasi will vary from $1 to $2; to nearby beaches from $2.50 to $3.00, and to other further...

There are not many buses in Pedasi and there are also few taxis.
if you have the possibility to rent a car, I recommend that you do so. You can rent a car in Panama City and drive to Pedasi or you can take a bus from Panama City to Pedasi and then rent a car in Pedasi.
What you choose all depends on where you want to go. You can also rent bicycles.

The bus from Pedasi to Las Tablas (the closest larger town, about 30 minutes away) is US $2.45. It departs every half an hour. This is a small minivan. You can stop anywhere on the way from Pedasi to Las Tablas, and is very convenient. The bus that runs from Pedasi to Venao (a famous beach, also about half an hour away, but in the other direction) is about 65 cents. It runs a few times a day.

There are buses to Panama City from Las Tablas that run once every hour on a daily basis and cost $9.70. You can also get off anywhere along the way. The trip from Las Tablas to Panama City is five hours.
The difference between taking the minivan and taking a taxi is the cost. The taxi goes directly to where you want, while the minivan or the little buses stop for everybody else. If a lady wants to go to her town on the way to Venao, the bus driver driver will take her all the way to her house.
