How are the roads in the Pedasi, Azuero, Panama area? Do I need a four wheel drive in the Pedasi, Azuero, Panama area?

The roads in Pedasi are OK.  You can use a regular car but in some areas you will need to drive slowly.

 

During the raining season some areas will get muddy so you have to drive carefully, like the road to Playa Lagarto

Whether or not you need a 4 x 4 in Pedasi depends on where you want to go.  In general, you do not need a 4 x 4 because the roads in Pedasi and to the surrounding beaches are for the most part paved and very good.  Below are some pictures so you can see what I'm writing about.  You definitely don't need a 4 x 4 in these places, which are very representative.
