What does it cost for a vacation rental in the Pedasi, Azuero, Panama area?

As with anywhere you will go in Panama, the cost for vacation rentals depends on what you are looking for.

 

My husband and I rented a beachfront condo two years ago in Pedasi with an ocean view from a private owner for $120 a night. It slept 4, had a kitchen and a shared pool and was a 2 minute walk to the beach.  But prices have gone up in the past two years.

 

Now, you can find a five bedroom luxury home on the beach for $850 a night. Or...

Or Villa Camilla which is a nice, large B&B type setting (but now I understand has some condos too) lists now on their website for $250 a night. Also, check out places like AirBNB.com and you can find private listings - anywhere from $35 for a hostel to $75-100 for a simpler construction home that is not beach front.

An American style house that is very modern, with all the amenities, including the laundry room, living room, flat screen TVs in all the bedrooms, two master bedrooms, one guest bedroom, storage, private double car port, fully furnished with infinity pool and with direct access on the beach that is 3,290 square feet in total area would rent for US $1,680 a week and $6,000 a month. Everything is included, including cleaning and maintenance.
