The economy in Pedasi, Azuero Peninsula, Panama is good. There are so many investors in the area because there are so many tourists but I saw a recent economic study about why to invest in Azuero and Chitre came out as the best place to live and invest in Panama. Chitre is also located in Azuero Peninsula. It is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes away from Pedasi. The study has very interesting information that I want to share here:

The economy in Pedasi, Azuero Peninsula, Panama is good. There are so many investors in the area because there are so many tourists but I saw a recent economic study about why to invest in Azuero and Chitre came out as the best place to live and invest in Panama. Chitre is also located in Azuero Peninsula. It is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes away from Pedasi. The study has very interesting information that I want to share here:
- The Azuero GDP per capita is higher than that of Chiriquí, Veraguas and Cocle provinces.
- Azuero has a higher percentage of employees who report more than $1,000 a month income than do Chiriquí, Veraguas and Cocle provinces.
- Azuero has the highest percentage of households with a car in the country (45% vs. 39% in Panama).
- High standard of living: significant percentage of Azuero households have computers, Internet, cell phone and air conditioning.
- The construction industry has achieved record growth with an increase of 26% in the number of building permits from 2009 to 2010.
- Several new companies operating in the area have doubled between 2008 and 2012.
- Also there are so many investors in Chitre because "something is going on" and everybody wants to be part of city with:
- Low cost of living.
- Low crime.
- Great access to hospitals.
- Access to major banks.
- Access to supermarkets and major stores.
- Proximity to excellent beaches.
- High quality of life.
