What's the crime rate against Americans and other expats in the Pedasi, Azuero, Panama area?

The general crime rate in Pedasi, Panama is very low. The majority of the people of very warm and helpful. They are known for their hospitality and willingness to lend a helping hand whenever needed. The kids can ride their bikes to the store and to school with no problems. Pedasi is a very quiet place where you can walk everywhere and feel safe, but remember that Pedasi is growing and people come from all over the world, so you always have to be cautious.
However, as to the natives of Pedasi and the people who have lived there for a while, do not worry, as they are very friendly, and you can easily make many friends in Pedasi.

I cannot say that there is any resentment toward expats in Pedasi. Pedasi is really a welcoming community. You can see people walking across the street and saying good morning to each other. The locals would say "buenos dias,"which is "good morning" to everybody. Everybody’s really nice and the expat community is growing.

I believe that the reason why there is no resentment across the expat community is that the expats that come here do not try to "Americanize" the town. They embrace Pedasi and this type of living. They usually come in to be part of the community. This creates less friction. Maybe that is what creates the friction in other areas. In other parts, expats do try to Americanize where they move.
