Marbella is kind of a quiet neighborhood, with traffic, as well as other major central neighborhoods in Panama City, Panama. It doesn´t offer any special tourist sites, but it is a nice area to walk around, see the Panama Bay, all the growth in the country, some stores and boutiques, and many restaurants, hotel, casinos and similar things within walking distance.

If you want to travel and explore Marbella, Panama, one possibility I would recommend is to hop in your car, drive around, and spot new places that you have never been to. For instance, yesterday we went to this great restaurant called Vinoteca. My girlfriend recommended it and I did not know that Vinoteca was there because it had been in a place where an undesirable restaurant used to exist. The old restaurant that existed there was the type where construction workers, builders, and...If you want to travel and explore Marbella, Panama, one possibility I would recommend is to hop in your car, drive around, and spot new places that you have never been to. For instance, yesterday we went to this great restaurant called Vinoteca. My girlfriend recommended it and I did not know that Vinoteca was there because it had been in a place where an undesirable restaurant used to exist. The old restaurant that existed there was the type where construction workers, builders, and people who work on the streets used to go. They had a very cheap buffet. They turned this place into the best restaurant in Panama I know to date. As a Panamanian, I would not have gone there because I remember as a kid that it was in a bad area. Now, I found out that, it is not like that anymore and that there is a fancy restaurant over there now, so it was a nice surprise.
What I usually do is to take my bicycle, bring some money, go around and just let the city surprise me. Panama City is moving so fast, that every day you will find new places in the most unexpected areas.
If you keep walking through Cinta Costera, you will end up in Casco Viejo (45 minutes away walking from Marbella). The journey is amazing because you will walk through a coastal area going to the causeway. You will have the ocean to your left and the city to your right.
My suggestion is, do not plan; just go out and explore and allow yourself to find new places. All of these are within walking distance but of course, it also depends on how much you want to walk. I personally like walking because at the end of the day, when I drink my beer, I feel like I will burn those calories after all.
The disadvantage of going around in a car is that you do not see as much of the places as you would see them when you go slower like when you are walking. When you drive, you are focused to a certain destination that you already know. You can explore places better when you are walking, on a bike or by taking a scooter. I enjoy going out on my scooter the most. I have a 125 cc Yamaha scooter, which is very comfortable to drive. I drive it around Panama City and park wherever I want. I find new places and that for me is the adventure.
