Taxis are everywhere in Panama City.  Just flag one down and negotiate a price before you get in.  The cost can be from $2 to $5 for in town depending on time of day.  Try to avoid traveling from 8 to 10 am and 4 to 6 to 7 pm GRID LOCK!!!!! .  It costs more doing rush hours.

Taxis are everywhere in Panama City and are very reasonable.  The only problem is due to the traffic congestion they may not want to take where you want to go.  If that is the problem tell them to take you to another place half way to your destination and then get another.  You should know what the charges should be as opposed to what the driver quotes, so you won't get ripped off.
