Of course it can be a lot higher depending on the luxuries the apartment offers. To buy a place in Marbella ranges from $250,000 USD and higher.

Like much of the downtown area, apartments / condos are the most prevalent form of housing. Prices vary greatly. You can buy a 2 bedroom apartment around 115 m² (1,237 square feet) for about $175,000 - $200,000. A 3 bedroom apartment about 200 m² (2,152 square feet) could set you back around $240,000 or more. The average price per meter varies from $1,550 - $1,850 ($144 - $172 per square foot). Many apartments have ocean views and most have amenities like pools and gyms in the social areas. For those who love the convenience of city life, this is a great place to live.

I bought an apartment for my mother forabout $270,000. The apartment is about four to five minutes away from my building. Her building is not as high-end as some of the other buildings in Marbella but it has everything that she needs and wants. It has a great social area, a swimming pool, spa, a gym and it is just right in front of the biggest mall in the Marbella area, which is the Multiplaza Pacific Mall.
For $500,000, you can get a 2,153 to 2,583 square feet unit (200 to 240 square meters) in Marbella. That will be a unit in a high-end building, with better amenities and in a better location. It might be a small unit for its price but it is so because the building is new and has better amenities. An example is the newly built apartment beside the building where I live. Apartment units there are about 30% more expensive than my apartment even though they have smaller units. Since it is a new building, the developers spent more on amenities and on the social areas (gyms, tennis courts, pool, salon, spa, etc). So the people who bought units in that building tend to spend more time in the social areas instead of inside their own apartments.
