Doctors here in Panama usually prioritize your visit if you have already seen them before. If they are extremely busy, they are going to let you wait for a few hours. There are times when they will book your appointment the following day but this rarely happens. They try their best to attend to patients on the same day the patients came for a checkup. If you have lab tests, the doctors can definitely see you the following day. If you would rather go to a public hospital, it may take 3 to 4 days to get a doctor’s appointment. I personally go to private hospitals because it is very inexpensive and, here in Marbella, the hospitals are just around the corner.
