There is hospital here in Marbella called Centro Medico Paitilla and there are American-trained doctors there. The doctors in Paitilla are good and they are the same doctors that work in Punta Pacifica Hospital. We have a very good health system here in Panama. Paitilla is only a 2-minute drive from Marbella.

I know only about four or five doctors here in Panama and all of them have trained in America or in Europe. There are three hospitals that I would recommend in Panama City. If you are an expat and you can afford it, I would definitely recommend Punta Pacifica Hospital. Punta Pacifica is associated with Johns Hopkins Hospital in the US and it’s one of the best hospitals in Central America and in Spain. They came in 3rd on the Ibero America (all the countries that were former colonies of Span or Portugal, including Span and Portugal).
Next to that would be the Centro Medico Paitilla. If you speak a little bit more Spanish, I would recommend the Hospital Nacional.
