Fort Clayton is mostly a residential area so there isn't much nightlife. However it's one of the best locations in Panama because everything that you would want in terms of nightlife and entertainment is only a 10 minute drive. Most expats usually can be found in a couple places. Calle Uruguay is right off of Avenida Balboa, which has about two blocks full of different clubs and bars. Another place would be Casco Viejo. My favorite place there is Tontalos. It's a...
Fort Clayton is mostly a residential area so there isn't much nightlife. Most expats usually can be found in a couple places. Calle Uruguay is right off of Avenida Balboa, which has about two blocks full of different clubs and bars. Another place would be Casco Viejo. My favorite place there is Tontalos. It's a nice place that has a rooftop bar with views of the city skyline.
Now places that Panamanians go (which is also safe) is also about a 10 minute drive. You can go to Zona Viva in Amador, which is a huge complex with different bars and clubs. Also in Amador there's a huge concert hall (Figali Center) where most international artists come to perform when they're in town. If your looking for a nice restaurant and clubs aren't your "thing", then you can drive about two minutes past Zona Viva and get to the Causeway. It's absolutely gorgeous and you can find great restaurants with amazing views of the city. Just the drive alone is worth the trip.
Now like I said before, Clayton is very close to everything I've mentioned but there's one very important thing that you need to remember!!! There's two entrances in and out of Clayton and although I'm sure you're a responsible reader you still need to know that there are police stationed at each entrance. So you might want to get a taxi if you're considering having a few drinks so you can guarantee yourself a great night!!
