How are the restaurants in the Panama City, Panama suburb of Fort Clayton / Clayton?
Judith Tovar - Easy Travel Panama
There are not many restaurants in Fort Clayton, Clayton, Panama Canal Zone, Panama. In Fort Clayton, which is near Panama City, Panama, you will find a hotel, some cafeteria style cafes, a couple bars, and a couple restaurants.
Very close to Clayton is the Albrook Mall, which has a couple food courts. And not far away is the Amador Causeway, where you can find some excellent restaurants.

Generally, the restaurants in Clayton are not really that good. They are more cafes and places that you would go to eat during business hours or lunch. Nobody really goes to Clayton to have dinner. There is just food there and you take advantage of it because you are there.
If I were in Clayton and I would like to go to a restaurant, I would drive to Panama City, which is about a 20-minute drive from Clayton, including a little bit of traffic.

When you go to Panama City, you would have a pretty good sampling of restaurants. You would see any type of restaurant in Panama City. You can also go to Casco Viejo because it has in incredible diversity of restaurants. Casco Viejo is also about 15 to 20 minutes away from Clayton.
If you love restaurants, Clayton is just within an arm’s reach of lots of them. Clayton is more of a suburban type place so it is a great place to raise a family but not a great place to eat. For people with kids and for people who like the more traditional North American style suburb, Clayton is the place.
