Former military base Fort Clayton is now known as CLAYTON, a nice neighborhood within Panamá city, located approximately 15 minutes from downtown by car on Sundays with no traffic, or at other times, an hour or more away. Clayton is about 30 minutes from Gamboa and the Metropolitan Natural Park, which are both with beautiful rainforests, as well as the Summit Garden Park and the Harpy Eagle Sanctuary (the Harpy Eagle is Panama's national bird);...

Clayton is about 30 minutes from Gamboa and the Metropolitan Natural Park, which are both with beautiful rainforests, as well as the Summit Garden Park and the Harpy Eagle Sanctuary (the Harpy Eagle is Panama's national bird); a beautiful place to visit and spend a relaxing day. Entrance is less than $5.00.
Clayton is surrounded by beautiful old trees and maintains a certain country look. Little animals like rabbits, monkeys, lots of birds including the Quetzal, reindeer (small ones), falcons, colored macaws, wild turkeys, among others, are commonly seen in this area.
Clayton is not divided into towns or cities, only residential communities and single homes, as well as the US embassy, some government buildings, the City of Knowledge (educational international center), some international organizations' headquarters, and private bilingual schools. The neighborhood is considered an upper income level neighborhood.
Clayton has well developed public green areas, excellent roads, and is very close to the Albrook Mall, Albrook airport, the public bus terminal, the Miraflores Panama Canal visitor´s center, and other facilities.
In summary, Clayton is a good residential or professional choice, as well as a good investment opportunity.

The City of Knowledge is very pretty. It looks good when you look at it from the outside. It is a group of businesses. They do conferences, communication and technology training and have business centers. The businesses in Clayton are hi-tech. They are clean industries and there is no heavy manufacturing. They are in the knowledge industries.
In November, during the fiesta of flags here in Panama, they put little flags in their homes. They put them in the terrace or the patio.
There are also conferences for students with career training where they help the students figure out their career path.
There is also a university in Clayton, the Isthmus Architecture University. It’s supposed to be the best in architecture in the city and it’s very expensive.
In Clayton, there is a huge park where people play sports and go swimming, etc.
