What's the price of a home, condo or apartment in El Valle de Anton, Panama?

Homes in El Valle can go from $100,000 to over a million dollars.. The homes for $100,000 do not stay on the market for very long and they are usually fixer uppers.. Though if you drive out of the valley some you can still find land for less, and build a very nice home for $100,000. The only downside is that you will need a vehicle. Living in the valley it is not such a problem.. You can walk anywhere in the valley..

There are no condos or apartments for sale in the valle. You can only build two floors; no high-rise condos here to block everyone's view of the mountains

El Valle de Antón, (Anton Valley) is situated in the province of Coclé, Republic of Panamá, two and a half hours from the main city, Panamá, and by an inactive volcano.
The access to this charming town, with exceptional weather and fresh temperatures, is by the modern "Carretera Interamericana" (Interamerican highway) that crosses the country from Darién (East border) to Chiriquí and Bocas del Toro (West border), and is surrounded by mountains. Many times the mountains are foggy, especially in the mornings. The second access road, after leaving the main highway takes about 30 minutes, by a narrow road with curves, in which it is a good idea to be careful and drive slowly, as there are some precipices, and local residents, villages and horses in the area. If you prefer to take public transportation, buses are available at the main transportation terminal at Albrook Mall in the city of Panamá, and prices are very inexpensive. If you want to rent a car, the main rental car companies are available in the city of Panamá, either the airport or main cities.
El Valle has many attractions: its very unique thermal pools, small waterfalls, excellent bird watching, beautiful flowers all year round, the exceptional gold frog (almost in extinction), a beautiful small zoo with exotic birds called "El Níspero", beautiful colorful butterflies flying around all day long, a renovated public market where you can purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, art and crafts made by locals, hammocks, rustic furniture, hats and many more articles, a small serpentarium with the main attraction of an orchid sanctuary.
Traditionally, El Valle was inhabited by locals, and city residents that had second homes for the weekends and holidays, when there would be much more noise than at non-vacation times.
As El Valle offers lots of good restaurants, as well as several hotels with good prices in which it is very enjoyable to spend a day or days.
With the arrival of more and more foreigners into Panamá, El Valle is a good attraction for them, and foreigners love settle there. There are homes to please any budget. Your choice. El Valle used to have very low prices, but with the "boom", prices have increased more and more. Land, houses and construction can be sometimes expensive. No more $50,000 homes. The price now, of course will depend on the comfort you are buying, or the size and desirability of the land.
But there are alternatives to the option of buying in El Valle proper, though. If you chose to settle in a place in the surroundings of El Valle, it can decrease the price considerably, and still, you have good access to the town, or the main highway, should you want to go to the beach, or lunch at one of the excellent restaurants or resorts in the nearby towns.
