Most of the people who live here in El Valle de Anton are indigenous people, who are not making very much money. They work as gardeners, caretakers, they work in the tiendas (small stores), or they work in the markets. The other group of people who come here during the weekends are not making money here. They are very wealthy and they have businesses in the city.

Tourism in El Valle is great because it is getting more and more popular. Today, I went off cycling and I saw six huge tour buses going to the zoo. It is incredible for a small place such as El Valle to have a great zoo.
There is also a weekend market here so the town is really crowded during Saturdays and Sundays. A mall was just built here last year; it is called Paseo El Valle. They are filling it up with shops now. It has a huge bike shop, thank goodness! The bike shop has a mechanic, too, which is good for me as a cyclist. There is also a gym in that mall, a number of restaurants, and a small hotel. The town has developed a bit in two and a half years and it is all for the better. There is a limit on the buildings here. It can only be two-stories high so you will not see skyscrapers here in El Valle.
