What are the best things to do in and around Coronado, Panama?
Nicolas Baldrich - Coronado Golf & Beach Resort
There many things that I can recommend
you to do in Coronado, Panama.
You can swim in one of the swimming pools or in the Pacific Ocean. Take a walk on the beach. Play tennis, learn or play golf, go horseback riding on the beach, relax on a hammock, go shopping, enjoy nature in our dry forest. Visit a variety of restaurants, and most importantly, enjoy life and have fun!

Roy Cannon - Gestoria Cocle - main office in Penoneme
Beyond the "tourist" activities there is a lot happening in the Coronado area lately. Banks continue to set up branch offices, we have both DIY stores and building supplies, 3 large supermarkets (24 hours), cell phone company offices, several vets for those with four footed friends, restaurants that range from chains (McD) to up market table cloth covered tables and lots in between. We even have a wine store that carries most things that can be found in Panama...

We even have a wine store that carries most things that can be found in Panama City - important because most Panamanians prefer beer and rum to wine. Of course there are pharmacies, a fully serviced clinic related to a Panama City hospital, chiropractor and massage specialists (among the foreign community) and even a Canadian hairdresser. Car mechanics to handle local and European brands, a tire store, pool maintenance and construction companies and a heavy equipment rental and service company....the list keeps growing. So once you settle you will not have to travel far to find most things you need.....and you are only 1 hour's drive to Panama City if you miss playing in traffic.

Coronado, Panama is a very versatile community that offers so many activities to residents and guests. The Coronado Resort is the center of activity, with a golf course, driving range and golf cart/equipment to hire, along with 4 tennis courts, an equestrian center and beach club, pools, gym and restaurants, bars and hotel. And that’s only for starters.
The community of Coronado has Picasso Restaurant, which is an upbeat, live music venue that regularly hosts...

The community of Coronado has Picasso Restaurant, which is an upbeat, live music venue that regularly hosts events, and the Coronado Association, which does fun fundraisers and holiday parties. Coronado has all this and more, with 2 large beaches nestled at your fingertips and several shopping malls at the InterAmerican entrance.
The malls offer a wide variety of food and household shopping and....well… shopping in general, plus grooming salons, clinics and casinos. Everything that you might have gone to Panama City for is coming here to Coronado, including movies, department stores, and art and entertainment. But, if you are like me and crave theater performances, art festivals, museums and galleries, then taking the one-hour trip to Panama City is worth it!

Of all the things I like to do in Coronado, Panama, I personally like going on a trip to El Valle de Anton. In addition, here in Coronado, we have nice views of the ocean, so I would say that one of the best things to do is to sit in your apartment and enjoy the view. Some other best things to do would be golfing, horseback riding, and surfing. Whatever people do in areas where it is always warm, is available to do here in Coronado.

There are a lot of best things to do in and around Coronado, but one of my favorites is 'Happiness Hour'! I will be your tour guide and introduce you to all the hot spots in Coronado and the surrounding beach area.
Every day of the week there is a place to be. You can visit LaTeca on Tuesdays, Picasso on Wednesdays, and BluWater Bistro (pictured) on Thursdays, just for starters. There are also more than one Happy Hour on most nights,...

Every day of the week there is a place to be. You can visit LaTeca on Tuesdays, Picasso on Wednesdays, and BluWater Bistro (pictured) on Thursdays, just for starters. There are also more than one Happy Hour on most nights, so the happiness lasts all night long. This is how I used to set my schedule. Now as the area has grown and more restaurants have opened up, it is a permanent space on my calendar.
Don't get the wrong impression. I don't go just for the drinks (always). These events are a wonderful opportunity to network and connect with other ex-pats in the Coronado area. You will be amazed at the fun and interesting people you meet from all around the world. Have you ever heard of six degrees of separation? Come play it with me.
