Nowhere in the region will the golf experience be like in Buenaventura.  The 18-hole Nicklaus Design par-72 championship golf course has been carefully planned to enhance the natural landscape within this luxurious community providing a challenging and an enjoyable experience for players. The championship golf course measures 7,823 yards from the back tee and allows for multiple tee placements in order to accommodate various skill levels. The well-placed bunkering and water features combined with the natural elements will require the player to think their way around the golf course with proper shot selection and execution being rewarded.

As an avid golfer and 8 year Panama resident (from Canada), I am thrilled to see so many great options these days. I am a member at Coronado Golf Course and try to golf as much as I can. (Really nice Tom Fazio course 2 blocks from my home and casita rentals.)

I also love to venture to nearby courses every once in a while, such as Vista Mar and Decameron.  The golf is affordable and world class at the Pacific Beaches, and personally I am happy to take my guests golfing and / or offer them to be my guest for the member discount.  No wonder everyone is so happy around here... we are golfing right now (December) while many of our friends and family are shoveling snow and noting -30 degree temps on Facebook!    FORE!

 

• I am a member of Coronado Golf, which is just two blocks away from my house where I have my casita rentals. I have been golfing since I was 30 and I can say that as far as getting a membership, Coronado Golf is the most inexpensive that I have ever seen in any country, considering that I have golfed in many countries. The famous golf course architect, Tom Fazio, designed Coronado Golf and I believe it is the oldest golf course in Panama.

• Another golf course in the Coronado area is Royal De Cameron, which is one of my favorite courses because it has an all-inclusive hotel and beach resort. It is a wonderful place.

• Bijao Resort Community and Golf or simply "Bijao," is a nine-hole golf course at the Sheraton Hotel. It has really nice ocean views.

• Last but not the least is Vista Mar. Vista Mar is probably the most high-end golf course that is closest to Coronado and it has an ocean view, too.

Personally, I go with my family to Coronado Golf & Beach Resort, where there is an 18 hold golf course.  During the year they have different tournaments organized by companies and golf team clubs. In addition the resort is really good and you can have a good time there in their swimming pool, their rooms and good food.
