The first thing that comes to mind when thinking about adventure travel in Coronado, Panama, is surfing. We have several surf schools in which you can do everything from simply renting a board to have semi-private or private surf instruction. Here’s an incomplete list of other adventure travel and adventure activity-related things you can do in Coronado:

- Horseback riding, including, if you're interested, horseback riding lessons.
- Standup paddle boarding.
- Kayaking along the Pacific coast of the Coronado area. (I don’t know of a place to rent kayaks.)
- Tours that lead you on waterfall hikes.
- Tours that lead you 4-wheeling, either on the beach or up in the mountains.
- Tours for parachute jumping.
- Nitro City is in Punta Chame, about 20 – 25 minutes away from Coronado. Nitro City is an “action sports resort”. Nitro City has motocross, jet skiing, wake board zipline, as well as a skate boarding park, among other things.
- Mountain biking.
If you like outdoor adventure or travel, there’s lots to do in the Coronado area.

The adventure travel and activities in and around Coronado, Panama depends on what you want to do. There is hiking, biking, triathlons, and surfing. There are several surf schools just 10 minutes away from Coronado. There is also fishing around Coronado. However, there are not a lot of fishing boats or other recreational vehicles for water activities in this area but there is a new marina being created right now about 15 miles away from Coronado.

There are all kinds of sporting activities in Coronado that people can participate in as well such as volleyball, softball, taekwondo or other martial arts, fitness groups, yoga, etc.
There is not really any scuba diving in Coronado. If you want to go scuba diving, you have to go to other parts of Panama. The reason behind is that the water is not very clear in Coronado due to the high tides.

There are so may cool things that you can do in Coronado. You can go deep-sea fishing. You can also go surfing, as there are surfing beaches all along the coastline. You can also go power boarding all over. You can even go up to the little islands off the coast. There is loads of hiking around the surrounding mountains.

If you want to venture out on a 2-hour day trip, you can go to Gamboa (1.5 hours away from Coronado by car), where you can see some local tribes, and go to some terrific tours. You can go fishing on the Lake Gatun where you can catch a load of fish.
There is also a lot of golfing here, around Coronado. There is also tennis and there are people who can teach you how to play tennis if you are into that. So if you don’t want a dull moment, you can be busy doing things.
