Wherever you are in Panama you will always see plenty of flowers and blossoming trees. Coronado also has some nice greenery, flowers and trees. San Carlos, nearby has many flowers also. So wherever you are you will always have a variety of plants, flowers and trees.

For example, I was just reading an article that described how a new plant in El Valle (about an hour away) was just discovered.

One can see flowers, plants and trees in Coronado, Panama. However, I recommend a better place: El Valle de Antón, which is located about 30 minutes by car from Coronado, up in the mountains. Coronado is great for the beach, sand and sun, but if you'd like to see foliage and beautiful flowers, please visit El Valle de Antón, where there is a market with plants for sale.

Coronado is great for the beach, sand and sun, but if you'd like to see foliage and beautiful flowers, please visit El Valle de Antón, where there is a market with plants for sale.
Just be sure, when you buy a plant or flowers for your garden, that the plant you buy is appropriate for the conditions in the area where you live. Many people buy beautiful plants in El Valle and try to seed their gardens in Coronado,or or some other similar place. Some plants are for cool weather and couldn't exist in a hot place like the beach.

It is fairly easy to plant whatever you like in your yard and it will grow there. There are lots of places that you can buy or rent that have a lot of space where you can plant whatever you like. If you want to see beautiful plants and trees in other close by places, you should go up to El Valle de Anton, which is about an hour away from Coronado. El Valle has a higher elevation so it is cooler up there. In El Valle, you will see lots of tropical flowers, plants, and trees. You will see veraneras, (bougainvillea) and other very diverse kinds of flowers. You will see colors everywhere.
