Are there rivers, lakes and waterfalls in or around Coronado, Panama?

No, there are no lakes in or around Coronado, Panama; just the big Pacific Ocean

As you may know, Coronado, Panama has the beautiful Pacific Ocean as it's backdrop, but most people don't realize that there are amazing fresh water adventures waiting for you to explore them. One of my favorite places is the waterfall in Las Lajas. If you are really adventurous, you can cliff jump with the locals from as high as 50 feet, or just do like I do, and watch with complete amazement!
The mountains of Panama are very close to the coastline. If you are on the beach and see a river mouth- no matter how big or small - simply follow it inland and you will encounter a waterfall.
There is also one small natural lake at the base of Picacho mountain that is about a 20 minute drive from the center of Coronado. It is very peaceful and quiet there. You could see both the waterfall in Las Lajas and the lake on the same day as you must drive through Las Lajas to reach the lake.

There are a couple rivers around the Coronado area, but not in Coronado itself. If you want to see waterfalls and rivers, you can go up to El Valle de Anton, which is around half an hour drive from Coronado. It is very nice in El Valle because the climate is very fresh and it is not even hot, because you are in the mountains.

There are lakes and beaches, of course, in Coronado, Panama. I do not think there’s a river or a waterfall.

You can also go to Altos del Maria from Coronado, which is a little bit further, but still close enough. Altos del Maria is about 25 minutes from Coronado. To get there, you go up to the mountains, so you could go from the coast (which is where Coronado is), and then your drive your car uphill. Altos del Maria is a gated, mountain community. Inside that community, you will find rivers, waterfalls and mountains. You can see both Pacific and Atlantic Ocean from one of the highest points in Altos del Maria, where there is a lookout.

There are rivers, lakes, and waterfalls around Coronado, Panama. The most famous place you can go to for these is El Valle de Anton, which is up in the mountains behind Coronado. To get to El Valle, you have to go down the Panamerican Highway from Coronado, which is around 10 minutes by car, and then you turn right to go up the mountain towards El Valle, for around 45 minutes. At the zip line area, there is a magnificent 200-foot waterfall that’s just beautiful because you get to zipline across it. There are other waterfalls in other areas and getting there only depends on how much hiking you want to do, how far you want to go or how far you want to drive.
Lake Gatun, which is around 35 minutes away from Coronado by car, is great for fishing and there are lots of water activities that you can do there.
