The cost of a housekeeper or a maid in Coronado, Panama or any of the beach areas basically depends on your needs. For example, if you are looking for a live-in housekeeper who lives or stays in your house at least 5 days a week, it could cost you around US $250 to $350 per month.
But if what you are looking for is a maid who comes to your house a few days a week, you will only pay for the days that she comes, and the cost will be between $20 to $30 a day.

The prices in both cases will vary mostly depending on the size of your property.

The cost to get a housekeeper or a maid in Coronado depends on whether you hire someone part time or full time. A daily rate would typically be US $20 to $30 per day for a whole day. The housekeeper would do your dishes, dusting, cleaning up, your laundry, making up the bed, etc. Sometimes it includes ironing and sometimes it doesn’t. Some cleaners are not into ironing. But that is not very important at the beach because we are all in shorts and t-shirts.

Housekeepers and maids in Coronado, Panama are very inexpensive. Typically, they’re going to be US $20 to $25 a day for somebody who comes in once or twice a week. What I found, though, is you get what you pay for. At $20 a day, you will get somebody who’s a great housekeeper. If you want someone to go that extra mile and you want someone to cook for you, take your pets out, or be that person who really is your right hand person, you might pay $5 more.

If you pay $30 a day, you’re going to get the very high end of the pay scale, but you’re going to have somebody who does absolutely everything, from washing your windows to cooking your lunch and dinner, taking your dogs out, doing the laundry, etc.

We live in Coronado, Panama and we have had our maid for almost three years and we are thrilled with her. She charged $17 a day (9 to 3:30) when we first started with her but we now pay her $25 a day. She not only cleans the house, but does our laundry, changes the sheets, and arranges for the exterminator or hedge trimmers when my Spanish is insufficient. We have her come when we have larger groups. She helps get ready for the dinner party and picks up glasses and...
