There are some awesome restaurants in the Coronado area! The costs really range based on what level of food and service you want. You will pay approximately $10. They also have amazing lunches and dinners!
If you like pizza, there are plenty of choices: Domino's Pizza, Gourmet Pizza and Picasso Restaurant (the latter two are within the gates of Coronado, but you just tell the guards at the gate where you are going and they will let you in). Pizza prices range from $10-$24.
Loco's Bar & Grill is a great spot for all kinds of amazing food choices at very fair prices. If you like Mexican food you should really try Cholos - awesome! If you are looking for more upper scale restaurants, we now have BluWater Bistro at Bahia Resort, La Teca in the Village Mall, Vista Mar Restaurant with Chef Pascal and a little further up the highway near Santa Clara there is Los Camisones. All of these would average approximately $15-$20 for a main course.
As you can see, there is an abundance of choice - and I haven't even mentioned them all! Enjoy!

The variety of the restaurants in Coronado is not as big as in Panama City, but it is growing very fast. The cost to eat in restaurants in Coronado is a little bit lower than the cost to eat in restaurants in Panama City. Spending US $10 or $20 is already more than enough.

One of them also serves burgers, hotdogs, etc. but it is not a fast food; it is more like a restaurant. There is another place in Coronado where they have salads.

I have been going to Coronado ever since 2010 and it has been growing at a very fast rate. The more it grows, the variety of restaurants and shops grow as well. It is a really good place to be in right now.

The price of fast food chains in Coronado are around the same price as the restaurants in Miami, Florida. If you go to a KFC here, you will find some foods in the menu that you will not find in a KFC in the US. It works the same with McDonald’s or Burger King. That is because fast food chains tailor-fit their meals based on their location. So here in Panama, they have typical Panamanian food.
If you go to a pizza place which is not a fast food chain, it is going to be cheaper here than it is in Miami, Florida. A pizza for one person here in Coronado is around $8. Drinks are also a lot cheaper here in Panama.

There is a restaurant inside Coronado called Picasso, where meals cost around $15 to $30. Picasso is an open place, in front of the church of Coronado. They have tablecloths, waitresses, and they have a very nice ambiance. The waiters are very nice, too. For $15, you can get a steak, or a burger. You can also have an entrée, a salad, and a main course for dinner for around $20.
Personally, I like Chacho Grill. They serve really nice steaks. A meal at Chacho also costs around $15 to $20. Other than steaks, they also serve burgers, and wings. I like Chacho best because of their burgers. Burgers there cost around $8 to $10. It costs more if you add something else to your burger like bacon, for example. They have the best burgers in all of Coronado.

You can also get breakfast at fondas at a similar cost.If you want to go to a gringo style restaurant or an Italian restaurant or something similar, you’re going to pay anywhere from $10 to $20 per person. They are not cheap by any means. The prices at gringo style restaurants are similar to those of moderate restaurants in Canada. The alcoholic drinks are also expensive. They are anywhere from $5 to $7 a drink. The same goes for grocery stores, too. If you want to eat pre-prepared Americanized food, you’re going to pay a lot of money for it. If you are going to eat vegetables then it won’t cost you a lot because produce is very affordable. How much you spend on food in Coronado just depends on your eating habits.
I have two young kids so I don’t like to spend money on eating out in restaurants with my kids because it’s not a most enjoyable experience; they’re crazy. We go to the local fondas with them because then they are very happy. They eat rice. If not, then we take them for pizza because then they’re also happy. We go to pizza restaurants like Picasso’s where they have a gourmet pizza for about $25 for one pizza. So to take a family of four for pizza will cost $60. However, we only go to Picasso’s if they have the two-for-one pizza on Fridays. One large pepperoni pizza is $17 and on two-for-one pizza days, we get two pizzas for that price. On a normal night, two pizzas would cost us $40.
There is another great Italian restaurant in Coronado called Todo Sabor, owned by a couple from Italy. They have great pasta and pizza as well. They cook everything fres,h from their noodles to their pizza. Everything is homemade. Their pizza is only $14 so it’s not very expensive for some good quality food with good quality ingredients.

There are some hidden gems (Fu restaurant near Chame) where you can still eat for under $10. My favorite is the Greek food at Gourmet Pizza (about $13) or the spaghetti with chicken and white wine sauce at Todo el Carbon (about $15). There are plenty of options in the area offering different price points and different cuisine. It's easy to find something for everyone. There are less breakfast options than lunch and dinner, however, Picasso cafe offers a great breakfast...
We recently have had some restaurants close down and new ones open up in the Coronado, Panama area, so I feel it's useful to add an update as some of the places mentioned in previous answers are no longer with us.
There are plenty of options in the area offering different price points and different cuisine. It's easy to find something for everyone. There are less breakfast options than lunch and dinner, however, Picasso cafe offers a great breakfast for around $10. Machetazo (a 3 story grocery and department store) has a breakfast buffet for around $5 (depending on how many items you choose). 507 cafe right before San Fernando Clinic as you enter into Coronado does a nice breakfast as well for around $10. For lunch, there are economical options for under $10. Candela's Corner just opened across from the Rey as well as Tonito's in the Super 99 Shopping Plaza.
My personal favorite is Nazca 21. They are located in the Machetazo shopping centre and serve Peruvian cuisine. You can enjoy their executive lunches for $8.95 per person with several options to choose from and a soft drink or tea included. Their full menu is extensive and is a great option for a nice evening dining experience as well.
In the Do It Center Plaza, there is a great Italian restaurant, Vieni Qua, serving excellent pizzas, pastas and salads at fair prices. For a more special occasion restaurant, Lunarossa inside of the Coronado gates serves homemade Italian cuisine, more pricey than most other restaurants in the area, however, fresh and delicious. One of our newest additions pure beachfront is Tiki Bar in Gorgona at the Bahia Condo project. They have excellent food and cocktails along with karaoke and live music on the weekends. I'm sure I'm leaving a few places out, however, rest assured you will find plenty of dining options in the area!
