You have some variety and the prices differ depending on the quality and what exactly you are looking for. The furniture will be more expensive in Coronado compared to buying in the city (Panama City). But if you buy in Panama City, you also have to pay for your transportation, so in the end you are paying the same price. ...

From Coronado, Panama City is an hour and 15-minute drive. You can get a lot of variety in Panama City. You can get something really cheap or something more expensive and high end.

The furniture and appliances here are the same as what you would expect in Sarasota, Florida, where I used to live. You can expect the same brands, too but they are not any cheaper than what is sold in the US. You can expect the same brands, too but they are not any cheaper than what is sold in the US. If you are going to buy a good brand that lasts, you cannot expect for the price to be cheaper. The local craftsman here are very good. We had a quote for a solid top table cut out of a tree trunk, which cost US $880. Then we went to the local craftsman and he quoted us $200 for the same table. In the US, it would have cost $800 to $1,000. We had a hand made 8-seater dining room table, which costs $820. That same dining table could cost about $2,000 in the US.

There is a PriceMart, which is similar to Costco and only 45 minutes away from Coronado by car. You can buy handmade furniture if you want. You can even bring a picture of the furniture that you want and they can custom made that for you. You can get a beautiful wooden dining table for $500 to $2,000 depending on the size and the type of wood that you are buying. If you buy the same table in Canada, it would easily cost you $10,000. They have very nice hardwoods here in Panama and you can get them for a quarter of the cost. You can also have cushions made. There is a lady here that makes cushions and covers.
If you want to buy furniture that is like the typical ones you see in a department store, you can go to Conway and they have ready-made furniture. The prices in Conway are pretty good since Conway is like Target in North America.
