The cost of a vacation rental in Coronado varies, based on the type of facility and the length of time you will be spending in the area. There are many lovely studio, 1 and 2 bedroom condos in the Coronado area that range from a weekly cost of $700 up to $1300 depending on the time of the year. Off season, which is May - October will yield lower rates than the high season of November - April. The area boasts many beautiful homes as well. Again, depending on the number of bedrooms, time of year and length of stay you could experience rates from $1000 upwards of $3500 for more luxury homes. If you are fortunate to be able to stay for a month or more, be sure to negotiate with the owners or management team for a long-term rate.
A word of caution: be sure to thoroughly read your rental contract before signing. There may be clauses that require additional payments for utilities, cable and internet, security deposits, cleaning fees and yard maintenance, along with penalties for early departure. If renting a house, be sure to check to make sure it has hot water, (if desired) window screens, latches and secure locks. Ask who else may have keys to the property. Do a walk-through before signing so you can make notes of any defects or deficiencies so as to avoid a dispute at the end of your stay that can affect the return of your deposit. Deposits are to be held in escrow in Panama by law, particularly for long-term rentals. Word to the wise is to know your rights, ask sound questions and if things seem to be too good to be true, they generally are.

A beachfront condo vacation rental is about $2,500. This is a bigger unit as well. That price is for a condo that does not include the electricity bill. You cannot rent for less than a week. The law in Panama City and some of the beach areas states that you have to rent for 45 days.
If you want to permanently live in Coronado, you can find a condo close to $1,300 per month. This is either a one or two bedroom unit that is about 100 square meters (about 1,100 square feet) and not on the beach. The beach is also a 10-minute walk. It is furnished and you can rent it for over a year.
Renting a house in Coronado is a bit more expensive, between $1,700 to $2,500 per month, depending on the type of the house and whether it is furnished. A house renting for $1,700 is small, with two or three bedrooms, and not too fancy. The house that is $2,500 is bigger with three bedrooms, a big patio and a pool, but still not on the beach.
The houses on the beach are generally not for rent. These belong mostly to wealthy people who do not rent them.

Vacation in the Coronado area, Republic of Panamá
Coronado is located an hour and a half from the main city, anamá, via the "Interamericana," a modern highway that connects the cities of Panamá and Colón, through the "interior" (or countryside).

Coronado a nice area where hundreds of Panamanians have their weekend homes, and there are also many condo buildings for sale. Some of these condos or homes are for rent and are marketed on-line. Most prices are considered expensive due Coronado being a very popular touristic area.
At the entrance of Coronado, you find three malls, grocery shops, other small hotels, restaurants, and other facilities.
There is a nice resort called Coronado Beach that offers a fine golf course, as well as a very well- known equestrian club. They offer a shuttle from the resort to their private beach. The price at the resort varies depending if you want a room or a suite, but start at US $167 per night. Night entertainment is not widely offered, except for some music at the discotheque. But they also offer a spa and others offer horseback riding at maybe $15+ per hour.
In the same area, very close, you also find other towns, with different tourist and vacation offers, like Gorgona, which has a nice, less expensive hotel, or Bay View (just a little further and pictured at the right ) in San Carlos. Sometimes locals offer their houses for rent, with prices beginning at $560 per month. Meals are very easy because of the many restaurants and grocery shops, or public markets in the area, at exceptionally low prices.
If you prefer the mountains, you may very well go to El Valle de Antón (pictured below), 45 minutes from Coronado. This picturesque little town offers numerous hotels and restaurants for all budgets. Even backpackers have a very good opportunity in all these towns.
Other beaches in the area are Santa Clara and Sea Cliff, which offers cabins at good prices.
If you are looking for a nice house, you had better prepare your wallet, because they are not cheap.Other resorts in the area include Punta Barco, Buenaventura and Esmeralda, among many more. In the town of San Carlos is fairly easy to find this kind of condo or houses for rent.
You may also go further down (at 3 hours from the city) into the towns of
Penonomé or Aguadulce. These areas offer a variety of beautiful opportunities for vacations. Lots of mountains, some resorts, and nature small hotels that are more like cabins than hotel buildings. Just look on line for what Penonome has to offer.
At the end, what it matters is that you have a tremendous experience whatever place you chose. They are all waiting for you, with friendly people and good prices. But best of all, excellent weather all year round.
