Where are the best beaches in and around the Panama City, Panama area of Casco Viejo?

In my opinion, the best beach near Casco Viejo, Panama is Playa Blanca, because of its cleanliness and privacy.

We once called Casco Viejo`s beaches in Panama City, Panama`s, the best kept secret. Although people still don´t fully realize the beach is there, locals use it constantly for morning exercise, and sometimes for beach sports such as softball and crazy football where no one really cares where the goal is.

 

There is not yet a place where you can bathe, although with the macro cleaning of the bay project that is already in the works we hope...

There are no beaches in either the Casco Antiguo or Casco Viejo neighborhoods of Panama City, Panama..

The waters around Panama City are too polluted to bathe in and with the new belt drive that is being built around the seafront of the city, there will be no beaches left.  The waters start getting better towards Veracruz, very close to Howard, an area that used to be an air force base on the west side of the canal.  The best beaches start at Punta Chame and onwards, including Coronado, Pta Barco and others.
