How's the surf and surfing in and around the Panama City, Panama area of Casco Viejo?

If you´re looking for surf or surfing spots in and around the Casco Viejo area in Panama City you might find it a little difficult because there are no beaches you can go for surfing there. However, there are other places outside Panama City where you can certainly go practice this activity. My suggestion would be to look for these options, like the Panama Surf School in El Palmar, about an hour away from Casco Viejo.

Casco Viejo is more of a historical district, with many buildings and places to visit where walking is the main way to go from one place to another, as the area is very small, and the streets are very narrow.

You could actually surf at Las Bovedas, which is located at the very point of the peninsula. That is where the break is, right off Casco Viejo. The waves are not huge, but they’re big enough to have fun. We have a small surf break there and we have a growing number of body boarders and paddle boarders. People go out there and go body boarding and surfing. It needs a pretty big swell in order for waves to be there. ( Las Bovedas surf shop in Casco Viejo,...
