Several golf courses that are close to Casco Viejo are in the Pacific coast beach resorts, a short drive away. One of the areas that was developed along the Pacific coast, about 1 hour away from Panama City, has many gated communities, condominiums, and hotels on the waterfront or close enough. That area now has about four big golf courses. Some of them are 9-hole and some are 18-hole courses.

There is another golf course going up near the airport and another one that is close to the Panama Canal called Summit. You have several choices if you want to go golfing in close to Casco Viejo. It is just a matter of determining which one you like better.

If you lived in Casco Viejo and wanted to golf, you could go towards Gamboa, where there is the Summit Coast Panama, located about half an hour away from here by car. There is also a first rate golf course in Toucan, which is 25 minutes away from Casco Viejo by car.
