Can I see beautiful flowers, plants and trees in or around the Panama City, Panama area of Casco Viejo?

For a couple of weeks (normally around April, depending on when the first rain showers fall), In Panama City, the vicinity of Casco Viejo blooms in powerful yellow flowers or romantic pale pink, especially by the Cathedral plaza where Guayacanes and Robles are. At Plaza Herrera you`ll see Flamboyanes in bright orange follow suit later, towards June. So each month gets a different flower and a different corner in Casco. The strangest tree? JackFruit. If you have never seen one, you would never pick it from any other tree. Until you saw the fruit and you would be like "what the hell is that????". Yes, the fruit can grow to be 80 pounds easily. Looks like a giant guanabana, but tastes more like mango combined with banana and a touch of peach. When it is not ripe, you can cook it like chicken. Go figure. I did it, and couldn´t believe it was true. Guey, but good with curry! It makes an awesome vegan ice cream blended with banana and nuts (once ripe, of course). Where are they? Next to the Lottery building, by Central Avenue, just after La Merced church.
