Many of the streets and avenues in Casco Viejo were just recently re-paved. When they re-paved them, they also re-did the pipes, moved the wires in the streets underground and then, covered the streets and avenues with brick to give everything an old style look. It is great because when you see it, it gives you the feeling that it has been there for a while even though it is new. This also adds value to properties in Casco Viejo.

The other streets in Casco Viejo that were not re-paved are still good. They are made of asphalt or concrete. There may be some potholes but you can drive on them. Generally speaking, the roads in Casco Viejo are really good.
