The adventure travel and activities in Boquete, Chiriqui, are some of the best in Panama, from hiking, whitewater river rafting, and 4x4 treks. With rapids from the beginners level to the most experienced, this is one adventure you can't miss out on! 4x4 trekking has also become a popular adventure tour in the Boquete area. There are several outfitters in the area that will set you up with either a 4x4 all terrain vehicle or buggy. There are many off road trails through out the Boquete region that are just waiting to be discovered.

Panama is a bio-diverse country. It offers one of the best kept primary rainforests in the world, with thousands of species of animals and plants. The name "Panama" means "abundance of everything". We have several museums and on-line videos to get good information.
No doubt Chiriqui, like many other places in the country offers a variety of outdoors well guided adventure activities. Chiriquí has a lot of rivers, in which you can enjoy good water rafting. You may also want to visit the "Barú", an impressive inactive volcano, or any of the many internationally famous Panamanian coffee farms, as well as orchids.
Boquete and its surroundings has beautiful weather day or night; sometimes the temperature drops up to 50°F. The town of Boquete is very picturesque and people are friendly, and lots of expats have chosen Boquete to live, meaning, it offers all kinds of facilities, and the best veggies and fruits grows there.
Chiriquí also offers lots of hills and mountains that you can hike. The best time to enjoy these outdoors adventures is from December to March, which is when we have the non-rainy season. Remember we have our "Carnival" season beginning the weekend before "Ash Wednesday", and hotels and other activities gets crowded, as well as air travel.

For example, just to the right is a picture of one of our clients running the largest line of our tour. You can see that she is above the clouds, with the Baru Volcano in the distance. This particular line is 450 meters long (over a quarter of a mile) and 60 meters above the ground. On this line you can achieve speeds of up to 50 km per hour (about 30 miles per hour).

In addition to the Tree Trek Zip Line, there are several companies offering river rafting from the most difficult rivers (Chiriqui Vieja) to more sedate rivers. There's also rock climbing and extreme hikes to the peak of Volcan Baru. You can also rent a 4 wheeler ATV or scooter and go exploring on your own.

activities in and around Boquete, Panama. However, my favorite adventure in Boquete is rock climbing! It's 10 min away from downtown Boquete. An unbelievable beautiful natural rock with at lest 12 routes. Depending on your level you can do all of them. On my first time I only completed 4. Not bad for a rookie, first time rock climber. I rented the equipment in the town; very safe and professional services.
