But in all seriousness, Boquete is a gourmet's paradise. There are virtually no communities of its size that still manage to have the kind of ethnic/style variety insofar as cuisine available.

If you want sandwiches that are made with love and care, on fresh baked bread by a chef who combines a painter's flair with a scientist's precision, this is your Canaan, your promised land.
I mean just look at this. Perfect balance of fresh cut meats, gourmet cheeses, house sauces, and did I mention the fact that the bread is fresh baked and all are unique recipes from Chef Meyer (the genius behind the bakery) himself?
Every time I bite into a sandwich from this place it feels like a new euphoric experience. I actually feel myself rising out of my chair and floating to towards the proverbial Elysian Fields.
Don't even get me started on their pastry! My husband and I often have to draw straws when I bring home one of Sugar and Spice's DELECTABLE Chocolate Pies because we know that otherwise we will end up having an argument over who ate the last slice.

In this restaurant you can enjoy a delicious hamburger and other dishes, all while enjoying the view and the good weather. My favorite dish at The Rock is a very tasteful sandwich that is made with different vegetables and delicious cheese.

Finca Lerida
This is a different environment were you can find a peaceful place. Finca Lerida has beautiful views where you can enjoy a meal made with the organic vegetables they produce on their own land. My favorite dish at Finca Lerida is ravioli with prawns.
Panamonte
Panamonte is a very beautiful boutique hotel were you find a delicious dishes and enjoy all the comfort it can bring you. At Panamonte I refer the breakfast, where they make my favorite-- Eggs Benedict. It’s just delicious.

Dining out is one of Boquete’s major social activities and you’ll see groups of expats enjoying breakfasts, lunches and dinners at their favorite locations.
In Panama City, people tend to eat diner very late (which is typical for Latin America). In Boquete, you’ll find most restaurants closing their doors at 9 PM.
So, you have a lot of restaurant choices in Boquete but plan to dine early.

Food in Boquete is getting better day by day. Gastronomically, Boquete is a landmark of good quality of food. Many of the ingredients and products of the restaurants are harvested just a few miles away so fresh food is always going to be available.
In terms of types of restaurants there is a big variety of what you can have. The most common are Italian and American restaurants hosted by both Italian and American people...

In terms of types of restaurants there is a big variety of what you can have. The most common are Italian and American restaurants hosted by both Italian and American people which are very good quality. Some of them have good food and very good service but some others don't so you have to keep an eye on the service.
We also have restaurants run by Panamanians that have very good food and service, too. Some of them have live music performed by very good artists so you know what to do when you are feeling hungry and bored.
The prices are a big thing to take in consideration. My best advice is to check on the menu first because you can have a VERY good meal for 7 USD (and in different types of restaurants) or you can have another very good meal for 40 USD.
There are also small typical Panamanian food restaurants which we call "fondas or fonditas" where you can get very good and traditional Panamanian food for 2-5 USD.
