Dear reader,
One of the most important holidays in Boquete and generally speaking in Panama is Independence Day on the 3rd of November and the 28th of November.
Also in Boquete there is a flower festival for 2 weeks between January 12th and the 22th (the dates change sometimes by a few days) and the Orchid festival in March.

Like the rest of the country Boquete celebrates the 3rd of November, which marks the official day of independence from Colombia. Like the rest of the country Boquete celebrates the 3rd of November, which marks the official day of independence from Colombia. The 4th of November is the day of the flag, also celebrated in Boquete. Now the 28th of November is the day Panama separated officially from Spain. For some reason, it has become a national tradition that people from other communities come to Boquete for that day. The parade is the longest of all, lasting well into the night, even when it rains and bands from other provinces converge in Boquete to celebrate this day.
