A condo on Volcancito Rd can go for $750 up.
A number of expats have purchased homes and other real estate to use as an income producer. Small apartments, casitas, or homes can be found from a few hundred to over a thousand dollars a month.
You will find property for rent in the town of Boquete, in Santa Lucia, Volcancito, near San Francisco Plaza, and all over the back roads of the community.
Beautiful homes, apartments and condos can be seen on may real estate sites as well as posted in businesses that allow individuals to post announcements. Meeting people and asking questions pays off, too.
Expats hang out at the Baru Restaurant across from the downtown square. You will find them at Sugar and Spice Bakery, Mike's Global Bar and Grill, and Amigos. Romero's grocery store also has a place to check out places for rent and often prices are listed as well. In Boquete there are a number of clean and affordable hostels, with prices varying according to events and season. Usually $24 up depending on the location and amenities offered.
Take the time to look online. Do some research and find a selection that fits you and your needs. Do the math and remember in Boquete a small apartment will have a very small electric bill, probably under $20 and a small tank of gas is about $6 a month. A basic cable package with internet costs from $60. A taxi in town is less than a dollar and a bus will be even less. You can eat Panamanian food for less but meals can be had for under four dollars in many places.

Like buying a home, the price you’ll pay for an apartment or a home rental in Boquete depends on a lot of different factors. How many bedrooms, furnished or unfurnished, location, amenities, etc., all play into the cost. How many bedrooms, furnished or unfurnished, location, amenities, etc., all play into the cost. Renting is a popular way for newcomers to experience what it’s like to live in Boquete before making a decision to purchase a home or condo.
In general, a furnished 2-bedroom apartment located in downtown Boquete will cost between $650 and $850 per month. If you’re in a master planned community, the cost can jump to $1,000 or more. A similar apartment outside of downtown will rent in the $500 to $650 range.
If you don’t need a large place, many local homeowners rent small cottages (called “casitas” in Panama) on their properties to generate extra income. A 1-bedroom furnished casita will cost between $400 to $600 per month, depending on location and amenities. Some owners include utilities, cable TV and Internet as part of their rental arrangements.
There are a number of homes for rent in the Boquete area ranging from large, custom luxury homes in gated communities to smaller properties in remote locations. As you’d expect, the rental rate depends on the size of the home and the location. A typical house will rent in the $900 to $1000 per month range with luxury homes costing $2,500 per month and more.
If you plan to rent a home or apartment in Boquete it pays to do your research and ask the owner for references from previous renters before making a commitment (a good way to find out if there are any issues with the property or the area).

The cost to rent a basic apartment in Boquete is about US $450 to $1,000 per month. A basic apartment would be something that was built by a Panamanian and it is not brand new. They usually have two bedrooms and two bathrooms. They are not huge.
Some of the newer buildings that have an elevator and security would cost $900 per month and above. Those would probably have three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

In both Boquete and David (the closest city to Boquete, less than 40 minutes away by car), you can find apartments in the range of US $300 per month on up. These types of apartments can include one to three bedrooms.

Not all apartments or houses are furnished. But, as I have seen in some apartment complexes, it is stipulated in the contract that the renter before moving from the apartment will have to have it painted the same color that they used when they moved in, which must be done before the deposit can be returned by the owner.
As for the neighborhoods, there are nice areas; some like Boquete, are right in the downtown area, so it is easy to walk from your apartment to the town area for shopping. As in David, there is bus service everywhere in Boquete, so there is not a problem getting around. Also there are many taxis.

The cost to rent an apartment in Boquete depends on the community where it is a located. A basic apartment outside of a gated community with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and fully furnished would cost around US $600 a month. That same apartment in a gated community costs around $1,200 a month. The majority of the rentals here do not include utilities. The renter is responsible for the electric, cable, and Internet bills.

Generally speaking, in the Boquete region, electric would probably be around $40 a month. Your cable and Internet package is around $50 a month. Most of the time, the owner of the home will pick up the water bill, which for the most part is $3 a month. The garbage pickup is about $5 a month. Normally, the homeowner will pay for that but if they want the renter to pay for it, that is still the same amount they’d pay. Gas here in Boquete is subsidized. Most of the stoves and water heaters here are gas. A 25-pound gas tank here in Boquete costs about $5 and that will last around 3 months for a couple living in an average home of two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The cost to rent an apartment in Boquete depends on several factors: location, whether it’s furnished or unfurnished, and if you are renting for short term or long term. If you are renting on a short-term basis, it tends to be more expensive compared to renting long term. In general, you can find apartments ranging from US $700 to $3,000 a month.

If you are renting on a short-term basis, it tends to be more expensive compared to renting long term. In general, you can find apartments ranging from US $700 to $3,000 a month.
With a budget of $700 a month, you can rent an apartment with two bedrooms and one bathroom in a non-gated community. It wouldn’t be within walking distance to town and it would be unfurnished. The utilities are not usually included. It may include water and garbage collection but you will have to pay for your Internet and electricity.
In the gated communities like Los Molinos, you could get a two-bedroom condo that is fully furnished for $1,000 a month. That also includes water and garbage collection but you will pay for your electricity and Internet. Los Molinos is a nice gated community with great amenities such as a swimming pool, restaurants, trails, tennis courts, and a country club.
With a budget of $1,500 per month, you could rent a two-bedroom and two and a half bathroom home in Los Molinos on a long-term basis. It would have open areas. It will be fully furnished and with complete appliances. Water and garbage collection are also included. It is also possible that you get a discount at the country club and the restaurants if you rent in Los Molinos. You could get a larger home for the same amount if you are going to rent outside of Los Molinos. The price difference depends on a location because if the house is located in Boquete Town, it would probably be a smaller house but if you live outside or Boquete, you will find bigger homes to rent for the same price.

I have an apartment not far from Boquete for $210 a month, including WiFi and electricity, but this is only because I'm so epic!
If you aren't me, expect closer to $400-500 a month for a pretty nice place. Avoid looking at CL and other gringo pubs. I'm a man of the people, so I can find the best deals.
