What are the best things to do in and around Bocas Del Toro, Panama?
Tyson Merrill - Island Property Management S.A.
One of the best things to do in Bocas Del Toro is rent the Custom Carts located on Main Street at Bocas Vacations and take a trip around the entire island, from Bocas Town to Bluff Beach or Bocas del Drago. You may come across a variety of wildlife including monkeys, sloths, and a large variety of birds and reptiles. The jungle fauna and the beachside road to bluff are also well worth seeing while in Bocas del Toro!

One of the best things to do on a hot sunny afternoon in Bocas del Toro is to try to hitch a lift with someone heading to Los Secretos. It's a beautifully located restaurant/bar with a lovely cool fresh water swimming pool:-

Don't forget to make the bike ride to Playa Bluff and have a drink at Playa Bluff Lounge or the Beach Bar. If the sea is too rough for swimming, there is a great pool at the Playa Bluff Lounge for after your walk on the long stretch of white, sandy beach!

There are a lot of things to do in Bocas. Bocas is known as a great place to surf which can be done just about anytime with the exception of September and October. There are chocolate tours in the area, horseback riding on Isla Colon and San Cristobal. There is even a zip line tour on Bastimentos at Red Frog beach.
There are a ton of snorkel tour operators in Bocas and several scuba shops. Bocas is a great place to learn how to dive...

There are a ton of snorkel tour operators in Bocas and several scuba shops. Bocas is a great place to learn how to dive yet still offers quality diving for the experienced diver. Tiger Rock and Polo Beach are areas normally accessible only in September and October.

The best thing to do in and around Bocas del Toro is to see the islands. We enjoy taking people out on a catamaran to go sailing and snorkeling around the Caribbean for a whole day. The special snorkeling sites that we take people to are really above and beyond what some of the little tours do.
Another nice thing to do is to go to Zapatilla Cay (pictured). Zapatilla Cay is an island farther away from all the other islands, so it is less inhabited, but it...

Another nice thing to do is to go to Zapatilla Cay (pictured). Zapatilla Cay is an island farther away from all the other islands, so it is less inhabited, but it has probably the prettiest beach in all of Bocas Del Toro.
There are lots of other things to do, such as going to the coffee farms, wildlife viewing, caving, and zip lining. There are many things to do in and around Bocas.
