My favourite restaurant on Bastimentos is called Roots. It's right on the water just off the main walkway through Old Bank, the main town on Isla Bastimentos.
A water taxi can drop you off at the dock right by your table, or if walking, simply ask any local, who will point you in the right direction.
A main course will cost you around four dollars, maybe a little more for fresh fish of the day.
The food is very tasty...

The food is very tasty and well presented, but it's the location and friendly vibe that really make this place special. Stick around for a spectacular Caribbean sunset, maybe a couple of tunes from a local guitarist, then a ride home in a speedy water taxi in the warmth of the tropical evening.
For a main, a dessert and a couple of beers you shouldn't be out of pocket by more than about ten dollars. What a great way to dine.
