In Panama, there are many companies that offer apartment renter’s insurance. Let’s say I have an apartment that has about US $75,000 worth of belongings inside. This means that I have to pay $75 per month, which is .1% of $75,000 to fully insure the apartment against theft, fire, water damage or any other damages.

I can’t say that there hasn’t been any break ins but they are very rare in this part of Panama.
