HUMMM... that question is so open ended why bother...... tell me the year, type, color, add ons you're looking for and maybe I can find it for you... but "how much does a car cost?" is like asking how many fish you will catch... come on. My truck cost 32k. Add the rims for another 6k . You want it with the sound system, add another 7k.
Cars here cost the same as any other place.

But if you compare prices of cars in Panamá with other countries in Latin America, the prices in Panamá are way lower, as well as car parts. What I can tell you, is that lately, thousands and thousands of cars are being sold in Panamá, which contributes to the traffic problem.
Saying this, it means that prices in Panamá for cars are accessible to many white and blue collar workers, as well as retirees. Otherwise, not so many cars would be sold all year round.
Another thing is that banks in Panamá offer exceptional packages for the purchase of new or used cars.
For an example of the cost of a car in Panamá, a new Suzuki Grand Vitara could be around $26,000 while a used Suzuki Gran Vitara, with some years running, goes for $6,000.
One thing is for sure in Panamá: you can get any car you want, up to the most expensive possible.

As a point of reference, when I lived in Boquete, a woman I worked with asked $6,000 or $7,000 to sell her 1994 Toyota Forerunner, and got her price. In Canada, her car would sell for $2,000 to $3,000.
